Gruppo Italiano believes education is a building of bridges. With a strong focus on education, we can build, not only greater knowledge and appreciation of Italian cuisine itself, but bridges of opportunity for our members, and fun for culinary enthusiasts. In aligning and cooperating with top educational institutions, we take great pride in connecting trade professionals with timely, relevant information and creative ideas to enhance their businesses. In doing so, it engenders a sense of pride and community within our industry.

Through dedicated educational initiatives, we provide a constant flow of information through various platforms: the media, educational roundtables, seminars, webinars, and lectures where we feature leading industry experts, educators, and media to invigorate discussion on pertinent topics, discover new perspectives. and seek practical solutions to pressing issues facing our industry. Additionally, GI offers hands-on workshops and classroom demonstrations to students and culinary enthusiasts to introduce recipes and hone personal culinary skills.
SCHOOL VISITS
ITALIAN TABLE TALKS
Gruppo Italiano presents its original seminar series ITALIAN TABLE TALKS focusing upon various issues surrounding the Italian Food and Restaurants for tomorrow. These topics deal with the real ramifications on the restaurant and hospitality industry, and how it affects the whole chain from producers, importers and distributors, to restaurants, retail and ardent cuisine enthusiasts, the general public. In bringing together a panel of industry experts (business and academic, and government officials), ITALIAN TABLE TALKS aim to lay out an informative and strategic vision to enhance the Italian food and hospitality industry in the United States.
GI Education inc.
To insure annual support of its educational initiatives and focus, Gruppo Italiano created the GI Education, Inc. in 2022. The charitable non-for-profit entity is overseen by three Directors of the Board of Directors. These Directors select recipients and direct payments to qualifying individuals, culinary schools, programs, and organizations who reflect the mission of GI in developing the next generation of Italians cuisine and hospitality professionals.
Every trade and Wine & Food Enthusiast membership to Gruppo Italiano will contribute a small sum to the general GI Education, Inc. fund. So you too are part of GI’s continuing efforts to educate and build lasting bridges for Italian cuisine in the United States.
