Education and Promotion
In association with the Italian Trade Agency, GI promoted the “World Pasta Day 2020” program with a group of fifteen of the most authentic Italian restaurants across the U.S.. Dedicated menus were created featuring pasta dishes that best represents the Italian culinary tradition. GI and its participant restaurants celebrated this amazing staple of the Italian cuisine, conducted training sessions with restaurant staff and patrons received educational material – besides tasting amazing creations throughout the week! Social media tolls played a key role on this promotion. Posts and reposts on Facebook, Instagram, individual restaurant websites and blogs were used to engage consumers throughout the country between October 18th to 25th, 2020 to celebrate, learn and taste the most beloved dish of Italy, la pasta.
